How to force user to login before viewing a static site inside Wordpress?

I have installed Wordpress and crated a sub-directory in my root folder which contain css, javascript and html file in it for example

www.domain.com/mysubdir/index.htm

I would like to use Wordpress authentication to login before going to this page but I don't know exactly why, I tried using plugin to restrict access to Wordpress (plugin name ultimate member) but I still can see the page

www.domain.com/mysubdir/index.htm

even though I logout of the Wordpress,

Is there anyway to make this work, do I have to convert my static site into Wordpress template? or is there any solution like plugin to make this work?

How to show number of registered users in Laravel based on usertype?

Where and how is this Laravel kernel constructor called? public fucntion __construct(Application $app, $Router $roouter) { } I have read the documentation and some online tutorial but I can find any clear explanation. I am learning Laravel and I am wondering where does this kernel constructor receives its arguments from.
